if its not broken leave it alone
if its stop leaking then its empty

    On my '03 ES, the LHS switches (from top to bottom) are;
    Front Fogs
    Rear Fogs
    Blank
    Rear Parking Sensor

    On RHS
    Rear Wash Wipe
    Rear wipe (Intermittent)
    Cruise control On/Off
    Fuel Flap

To operate the cruise though, there are two thumb/finger paddles on the inside of the steering wheel. One for 'Set' and the other 'Res' (resume).
You'll need these to operate the cruise control and I'm not sure if they can be attached to the standard steering wheel or if you need a specific one - I know this IS the case on Audis.

For a 300 series on the right of the speedo housing at the top, rear screen wash then rear wiper the the lower two are for the radio controls.
On the left is rear heeted screen then rear fog light the lower two for the radio control.
Below the clock left to right is heated windscreen, front fog lights and cruise master switch.

Thats if your disco was fully loaded and no it won't be live unless the fuse for that circuit has been fitted.

Two "toys" I don't play with are the heated front windscreen or the front fogs, my heater clears any frost and i haven't seen much fog for years and non at night as I don't do much night driving

Heated seats, heated mirrors, cruise control and electric windscreen washers are a good toys and wipers with a varable delay WoW

And to think I owned a car that the heater was an optional extra, thats was even before heated back windows were an option

There was a guy on ebay who was selling the cruise control kits. He said that all Disco's had the Cruise ECU and wiring pre-installed, and the only bits added were the dash switch and column buttons if it was ordered.
His kit contained the dash switch, column button assembly and a template for cutting out the side of the steering wheel. I think they were going for £60 or so, but has not had any in stock for a while. Graham

I would not have thought of going to the dealer to get the switces.
Is it that easy to buy the bits and just plug it in, or do you have to get it programmed in?
